2. Begin explaining how foreign cultures can influence local cultural values through:
- Media (movies, music, social media)
- Migration (people moving and bringing their cultures with them)
- Trade and globalization (foreign products and businesses)
3. Use specific examples relevant to the students' lives (e.g., popular international fast-food chains, fashion trends, technological gadgets).
**Activity: Group Discussion (20 minutes)**
1. Divide the class into small groups of 4-5 students.
2. Hand out sets of discussion questions to each group (some examples below):
- Can you think of some foreign things that have become popular in our culture? (e.g., foods, clothing, holidays)
- How do you feel about these influences? Are they mostly positive, negative, or a mix of both? Why?
- Can you give an example of a foreign cultural influence that has changed the way we do something traditionally?
- How can we balance appreciating foreign cultures while preserving our own cultural values?
3. Each group discusses their questions and writes down key points on sticky notes.
**Group Presentations (10 minutes)**
